Power of Attorney

Power of Attorney Someone must give a power of attorney to someone else. You cannot get a power of attorney over anyone. Grandmother must give you a power of attorney while she is still competent because: an incompetent person cannot give a power of attorney to anyone. After Grandmother is incompetent (and no POA), you would have to file guardianship proceedings with the court.
