Robert H. LaFollette Pro Bono Award
The Robert H. LaFollette Pro Bono Award is presented each year to an attorney who has gone above and beyond to provide services to people who would not be able to obtain services otherwise. This award is named after Robert H. LaFollette (1900-1977) who was the director of Legal Aid to the Poor and a champion for the underprivileged.
The 2015 Robert H. LaFollette Pro Bono Award was presented to R. Matthew Bristol for his extraordinary work in providing services to those who are not able to afford legal services (from divorces to wills, and everything between).
Silver Beaver Award
Introduced in 1931, the Silver Beaver Award is a council-level, distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients are registered Scouters who have made an impact on the lives of youth through their hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service.
On February 2, 2019, R. Matthew Bristol was awestruck to find that he had been nominated by his peers for the Silver Beaver Award. Matt has devoted his life to serving his community and the Boy Scouts of America.
